Creative Camps in the Village:

Make your summer easy and fun!  Campers will have fun in the sun as the Preschool in the Village staff guides them in new imaginative and physical activities each day.

Camps run Monday - Friday, 9am - 12pm and cost $135 including materials, unless noted otherwise. Drop off and pick up are convenient, with a drive-through just off the Amherst green at the Congregational Church.  Please provide your child with a snack.

Fun in the Sun with More than One

School is out, summer has begun, join us for some summer fun outside!  We'll have water play, science fun, art activities, story times, and more.  Wear your bathing suit, you will get wet!  There will be developmentally appropriate fun for every age group.  

On the Road
July 6-10 (3-6yrs)
Road Trip! We'll visit the desert, the mountains, seashore, big cities and more with crafts, stories and fun galore.

Do you dream of becoming a veterinarian?  Grab your lab coat, animal lovers, as we learn about our favorite furry, flying and fishy friends!  Make amazing animal models, build big bones and investigate animal intestines from our favorite vertebrates: birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish.  Dissect an owl pellet to discover a predator's diet.  Try your hand at catching some invertebrates as we study insect exoskeletons and get into tiny worlds to look at animal cells and parasites.  End the week with a featured live animal visit with tips for animal care and keeping pets healthy!

Rocket Science Aug. 3-7 9am-12 (entering grades K-5) half day only
All-new Rocket Science is a blast for any junior rocketeer!  Rocket Scientists will learn about propulsion by building compressed air rockets, water rockets and rockets that blast off via chemical reaction!  As aerospace engineers, we will travel to infinity and beyond while learning the laws of aerodynamics and flight.  For a fantastic finish, we will launch our own customized Estes Rocket on Friday (weather permitting).  Please bring a snack.  For more information visit

Working in all aspects of musical theatre from script, choreography and song, students in this two week camp will bring the adventures of Junie B Jones to life.  Students have the option of staying from 3pm-5pm for an additional dance class or to design props and sets.  For more information visit

"Seussical the Musical" (grades 5-9)
Bring the imagination of Dr. Seuss to life on stage with this energetic and lively production of "Seussical the Musical!" Our curriculum combines fun with skill based acting, choreography and vocal work.  There's even something for those "triple threat" enthusiasts with out extended day dance option from 3-5pm.  Are you more creative and artistic?  Stay from 3-5pm for set and prop design and help bring the stage to life!  For more information visit

Channel your inner Master Builder and create your very own LEGO amusement park thrill rides where everything is awesome!  Build some amazing amusement park thrill rides with motors and gears.  Students will build: Merry-Go-Rounds, Tea Cup Rides, Tilt-a-Whirls, and many more.

Amusement Park Thrill Rides and Stop Motion Animation, Ages: 6-9
Channel your inner Master Builder and create your very own LEGO amusement park thrill rides where everything is awesome!  Build some amazing amusement park thrill rides with motors and gears.  Students will build: Merry-Go-Rounds, Tea Cup Rides, Tilt-a-Whirls, motorized LEGO cars, and many more.  During the afternoon create your very own LEGO stop animations, just like The LEGO Movie!  Double Decker couches welcome.

Minecraft/Redstone Circuits, Robotics, and Stop Motion Animation, Ages 9-13
3D Game Design students will utilize various Minecraft skills to customize and create their own legendary worlds!  Students will learn about creating electrical circuits using Redstone.  This will help students create features like functioning doors and trap doors that operate at the push of a button.  Throughout the week students will build LEGO: zombies, creepers, Steve, Enderman, and a LEGO city interacting electrically with their LEGO structures, then program their robots through the Minecraft maze.  During the afternoon students will create LEGO motorized cars and stop animation videos.  Students are encouraged to work in partners or may BTOD.
